In the aftermath of the GSC Game World and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 implosion, studio members still passionate about producing bleak first-person shooters started up Vostok Games and announced their first project, the free-to-play MMO FPS Survarium. The studio just released a few initial in-game screenshots as well as a development update video.
In the video, you’ll see members of the Vostok team describe the story setup for their game, as well as some of the gamplay modes. As you play, you’ll boost your ability to handle firearms, your movement speed and maximum carrying capacity, skill with electronics and traps, medical knowledge, and your ability to deal with the various anomalies that infest Survarium’s world.
You’ll also interact with factions across the game world, and by improving your reputation with them through faction quests, you’ll gain access to better weapons and gear. For more information on the specific game modes, including co-operative play, check out the video below.
