FIFA 13

Five game-changing innovations revolutionize artificial intelligence, dribbling, ball control and physical play to create a true battle for possession across the entire pitch, deliver freedom and creativity in attack, and capture all the drama and unpredictability of real-world football.

All-new Attacking Intelligence infuses players with the most sophisticated artificial intelligence ever achieved. Players have the ability to analyse space, work harder and smarter to break down the defence, and think two plays ahead. Now every touch matters with the most comprehensive and intuitive dribbling system ever developed for the franchise. Inspired by the world’s best player, Lionel Messi, Complete Dribbling enables players to face their opponent and use precise dribble touches combined with true 360° mobility with the ball, so it’s easier to be more creative and dangerous in 1v1 opportunities. FIFA 13 1st Touch Control transforms the way players control the ball, eliminating near-perfect touch for every player on the pitch, and creating more opportunities for defenders to win back possession. The second generation of the Player Impact Engine expands physical play from just collisions to off-the-ball battles between players. Defenders can push and pull for position, and utilise their size and strength to force opponents into poor touches and decisions before the ball arrives.FIFA 13 Tactical Free Kicks provides the tools to create dangerous and unpredictable free kicks. Position up to three players over the ball and utilise dummy runs and more passing options to outwit your opponent.

FIFA 13 with Kinect enables you to use voice commands to manage your club’s lineup and tactics without pausing the game, shout directions on the pitch in Be A Pro, and forces you to temper the way you talk to officials.

Key Features
  • Attacking Intelligence—All-new positioning intelligence infuses attacking players with the ability to analyse plays, and to better position themselves to create new attacking opportunities. Players will work harder and smarter to break down defences, make runs that pull defenders out of position, and open passing channels for teammates. Plus, players possess an off-the-ball vision and the ability to think two plays ahead to create, curve, or alter runs to capitalize on openings as they occur.
  • Complete Dribbling— Make every touch matter with complete control of the ball. Take on defenders with the freedom to be more creative in attack. Players are more explosive accelerating with the ball, and utilise precise dribble touches with true 360° mobility with the ball while facing a defender.  Face an opponent to threaten attack while moving with the ball in any direction to dodge tackles, or turn and shield the ball, maintaining position, and holding off defenders for longer stretches.
  • FIFA 13 1st Touch Control—A new system eliminates near-perfect control for every player by creating uncertainty when receiving difficult balls. Poor passes are harder to control, enabling defenders to capitalize on errant balls and poor touches. Factors such as defensive pressure, trajectory of the ball, and velocity of the pass all factor into a player’s success. Players with better control and skill stand out. Fewer perfect touches, the potential to over hit passes, more opportunity for loose balls, and greater balance between defending and attacking.
  • Player Impact Engine—The second generation of the award-winning physics engine expands physical play from just collisions to off-the-ball battles, giving defenders more tools to win back possession. Defenders can use their body to win possession, push and pull for position, and utilise their size and strength to force opponents into poor touches and decisions before the ball arrives.
  • FIFA 13 Tactical Free Kicks—Create dangerous and unpredictable free kicks. Position up to three attacking players over the ball and confuse opponents with dummy runs, more passing options, and more elaborate free kicks. Opponents can counter by adding or subtracting players to the wall, creeping the wall forward, or sending a bullet man to intercept the pass or block the shot.
  • Voice Commands – Administer your squad the wayreal-world managers organize their clubs during a match. Use voice commands to instantly activate tactics, change formations, or initiate substitutions, and enjoythe strategic advantage ofmanaging your club without pausing the game.
  • On Pitch Commands – Think, react and play like a professional footballer utilising voice commands on the pitch in Be A Pro mode. Shout for a pass, send a teammate on a run or call for a shot the way real footballers communicate on the pitch.
  • Referee Feedback – Referees and linesmen are influenced by what they hear. Coarse language directed towards an official may be mentioned by commentators or influence a referee’s strictness and decision-making around fouls and bookings, the same way it does in real life. Plus, storylines will develop in Career Mode when players and managers let their emotions get the better of them.

Fire Emblem: Awakening

Fire Emblem: Kakusei will have elements of gameplay retained from previous entries in the series, but will also have various new features. The game features a new option to perform a team-up attack with a supporting character. The "My Unit" system, which featured in Hikari to Kage no Eiyū makes a return, allowing the player to create and customise their own playable character. There is a traversable world map, like in Gaiden and The Sacred Stones, where you can enter battles or purchase supplies from locations on the map. Special Skills from Seisen no Keifu and Path of Radiance make a return—characters can have five Skills at one time, with surplus Skills held in the character's Skill bank.
Much like the Seisen no Keifu some characters will be able to pair up and have children. The player created My Unit is able to pair up and marry any opposite gendered character.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is an epic tale of a young boy, Oliver, who embarks on a journey to become a master magician and bring back his dead mother from the parallel world of Ni no Kuni. Along the way he encounters some extraordinary characters, many of whom become helpful allies. They guide Oliver as he explores the vast world and learns the magical skills that will make him strong enough to face his most deadly foes, and ultimately survive an encounter with the White Witch herself.

The world of Ni no Kuni actually runs parallel to the real world. Players will be able to travel between the two. Characters who appear in one world appear in the other as well, but with different roles in this unique RPG experience.

Skylanders Giants

The Skylanders franchise is every child’s dream. Placing a toy on the Portal of Power in the real world brings that character to life on-screen, and it’s easy to imagine why kids can’t resist collecting every figure they can get their hands on. While Skylanders Giants, the game’s upcoming sequel, keeps this gimmick intact, it’s deeper than you might expect and actually has a hell of a lot to offer hardcore gamers.

This time around, there are plenty of new characters -- most notably, the giants. Giants are, as you might have guessed, twice as big as normal Skylanders, including both their in-game characters and real life toys. That size increase comes with both advantages and disadvantages. While giants can move boulders, knock down barriers and trample obstacles, they’re also significantly slower. This is where Skylanders Giants evolves past the limits of its predecessor.

Strategy is important this time around, and choosing between giants and normal Skylanders plays a huge part in traversing the game’s world. In a battle scenario, a giant’s brute strength helps you move forward. In an area where enemies fire missiles at you, the agility of a normal Skylander might serve you better. Choosing who to play as and when adds a new level of depth that makes Giants legitimately fun to play and not simply a showcase for kids to show off their collection.

Activision has sold more than 30 million Skylanders toys and will surely sell plenty more, but the new figures aren’t simply a cash grab. In fact, you’ll be able to play through the entirety of Giants as any character you like, whether it’s a normal character or a Giant. The whole game can be accessed as either one, and the challenge comes in solving puzzles to figure out how to open a door as one or the other. Players can also unlock hidden areas by revisiting each level as a different type of character – elemental types, size and unique abilities are all the keys to accessing various hidden environments for additional loot.

Giants not only allows players to use their original Skylanders, but will even carry over stats, upgrades and customization from the original game. The level cap has been raised from level 10 to 15, and you’ll be able to continue leveling up your favorites. As in the original Skylanders, all characters can be used on any platform, meaning that if you level up one character on a 360, you can use that same toy on a PS3, Wii or 3DS and maintain all of your stats. New Series Two figures are also planned, bringing back original characters in new poses and adding an upgraded ability in the game for each.

Skylanders Giants will feature 20 new characters (including eight giants) when it hits stores later this year. With features like drop-in/drop-out co-op and new multiplayer modes, Giants could end up being the most hardcore kids game we’ve seen yet.
